Anglo-Saxon Plant Names on ASPNS Website

Planning an authentic English garden? ASPNS, a research project at the Institute for the Historical Study of Language in Glasgow, Scotland has undertaken a survey of Anglo-Saxon plant names which it has made available online. An international team of researchers, based in Scotland, is working on a project to study the plant names of Anglo-Saxon England. They are looking at manuscripts, inscriptions, or whatever they can find that mentions or identifies plants and how they fit into life in Anglo-Saxon England. The team hopes that this survey will lead to others in language, medicine etc.
