Bergental Novice Schola

New to the Society? Or not so new but want to learn new things? Then come to Bergental's 6th Novice Schola! This year we'll have classes during the day and celebrating our sweet 16th anniversary as a barony with a sideboard for dinner and the floor open for an evening of dancing (not to worry, there will be dance lessons during the day!).

The class schedule will feature introductory classes in sewing, embroidery, personas, dancing, and more. Classes run from 10am to 5pm. Please note that the event site opens at 9am, so that gentles will have time to sign in and look at the class schedule before they start.

Classes are first come, first served. You are not required to pre-register for the event, but if you do, check in will be quicker therefore you can sign up for classes quickly (some classes have an attendee limit).

And of course there will be the fourth and final leg of the baronial arts & science competition and exhibition. There will be beautiful and marvelous things to see.

Please note that this is a standard SCA event. Medieval/renaissance clothing, or a reasonable attempt there at, is required -- We have some loaner clothing if you don't have any. It will be avalible at the event.

Directions:
From the North: From 91, take exit 1 (Forest Park/East Longmeadow). Go to the second traffic light and take a left onto Converse St. Stay on Converse St. for approximately a mile. Take a left onto Porter Lake Dr. (there will be a sign for Unitarian Universalist Society on the left). The church will be about 100 yards ahead on the right.

Event Fees:
Site : None, but contributions to help out with site costs are welcome! As this event is geared toward people new to the SCA, we wish to make them as welcome as possible by not requiring them to have to pay NMS to attend. You do not have to be a paid SCA member to attend. REFUNDS: CANCELLATIONS MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN FEB. 17, 2007. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE AFTER THIS DATE.

Feast: Day-board (lunch) is $3.00 per person. Reservations are NOT required but, we would like to know if you plan on having lunch with us. This way we can give Lord Rob a count of how many folks will be attending lunch and he can make sure there is enough for all.

Feast (dinner) is $7.00 per person. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED FOR FEAST. Please reserve early as Lord Alberic's feast tend to fill up early and there are only 80 seats for feast!!!
