Silver Forest Ball

The Canton of Coille Stoirmeil turns 25 years old this year. Please join us for a weekend of good fun, food, memories, food, laughter, food, dancing, food, good company, and food. This event will combine the best of the Canton's past events of Feast of the Beast and That Moot Thingy. Two for the price of one!!

Site Fees
Advance (Received by April 13): $10/adult; $5/child ages 6-12; under 6 free
Day of (Received after April 13): $12/adult; $7/child ages 6-12; under 6 free
Family maximum-(2 adults plus more than 1 child): $25 advance; $27 day of
Canton will collect an additional $1/person to go to the Kingdom Travel Fund.
Non-member surcharge of $3/person will also apply.

If you are planning on staying overnight on site Friday and/or Saturday, you will need to reserve a room. Space will be limited, so reserve early. Reservations must include names of all people planning to stay in the pavilion. You must have at least 8 people to reserve a full pavilion. THE ONLY RESERVATION IS A FULLY PAID RESERVATION. No down payments will be accepted. Please indicate if you are staying Friday and Saturday night, or just one night. There are several motels close by. Contact the Event Steward for info.

Feast Fees
Feast will be a 5-remove seated affair with 5 dishes in each remove. If you have dietary concerns, you must send a detailed list with your reservation. When you check in at Troll, you will be given a card listing what dishes are safe for you in each remove.

Lady Thea of Jararvellir, Dance Mistress of the Barony of Jararvellir, has graciously consented to conduct the Ball itself on Saturday night, with music provided by the Music Guild of Jararvellir. The Ball will begin after Feast, AND YOU MAY DANCE UNTIL YOU DROP!!!!!! There is no time limit on the Ball, and Lady Thea has dedicated herself to go all night, if that is what the dancers wish! There will be two dance classes offered during the day on Saturday, so that you may brush up/learn the dances that will be offered.

Site is handicap accessible, and discreetly damp. No alcohol may be sold, and must be consumed inside the buildings. Daytime activities and sleeping rooms are in one building, feast and ball in another building.

There will be no merchanting at this event.

Both heavy and light fighting will be offered.

Lunch will be available on site for a reasonable fee. There are several eateries located nearby, as well as a grocery store.

Daytime activities include (but are not limited to) Pin the Wings/Tail on the Griffin (adult participants will pin the wings, children will pin the tail); Chair Jousting; Chess; Handkissing Contest; Best Cape holding more than one person.

THERE WILL BE A BARDIC CHALLENGE TO DETERMINE THE NEXT CANTON BARD! The theme is simply "The Canton of Coille Stoirmeil".

Site opens Friday night at 6:00 p.m. However, if you show up early, you will likely be put to work!! Saturday site will open at 9:00 a.m. Fighting will tentatively begin at 10:00 a.m.
