War of the Roses Coronation Tournament

The Coronation of His Highness Llywelyn Lorell of Shrewsbury & Her Highness Cadfael the Mordacious Unto the great Throne of Calontir For the enjoyment of Their Royal Majesties & to the honor of Their Royal Highnesses, the Shire of Oakheart presents: The War of the Roses Coronation Tournament March 24th, 2007

A great Warlord tournament, on two separate battlefields, will begin the days fighting to decide the leaders of the Lancaster & the York forces. All 17 WotR battles will then be fought to decide the wars’ victor. Historical notations will herald the beginning of each battle. Fighters sides will be chosen at random by lot {white or red rose stickers for their helm} – Unequal ranks & placement will be managed by the direction of The Marshals before the first battle begins.

Each fighter will pay an additional $5 entry fee for the privilege of fighting in the tournament. In gratitude of their participation in the lists for this great battle:


A separate table will be next to Troll for fighter check-in, fee payment & spearhead [All fighters must show their fighter cards or a note from their mommy]

A great feast will follow in proper fashion with grand English Fare as the venue.

The Shire of Oakheart humbly requests that if you have Banners & Pennants to please bring them that we may line the list field & the halls with their beauty. {And please keep ALL modern items out of site}

There will be games a-plenty & a treasure hunt held by our Shire’s MOY; 8am –noon.

An A&S challenges shall consist of: Best Art or Science inspired from the War of the Roses era {any medium} – Best tribute to the houses of Lancaster or York {any medium} Please bring to display any works in progress – a table will be available.

A LARGESS collection point will also be available. Please help support our Kingdom!

An ongoing morning Dart competition will be held for archers to add war points to the Lancaster or York armies. Teams will be divided at random. {6-12 darts for score, depending upon the number of entrants}

A tavern shall be provided for your “pre-feast” needs & cravings….

MERCHANTS WELCOME! NO FEE EXCEPT SITE! Please bring your own tables. {Please clean your site after the event to avoid a cleaning fee - $25}
