Move may endanger Viking ships

Critics of a plan to move three 1000-year-old Viking ships to a new museum believe that the plan could destroy the irreplaceable artifacts.

The University of Oslo's plan is to move the three vessels by either barge or truck horrifies retired Viking Ship Museum curator Arne Emil Christensen who fears the ships will fall part during the move. "Even if I have to live till I am 100, I will go on fighting this move," he said. "The best way to stop it is still through diplomacy, but, if necessary, I will be in front of the ships, chained to the floor."
