Their Excellencies, Coronado and Jehanne, holders of the Coronet of Rivenoak, extends warm invitations out amongst the populace of the West to partake of food and drink with them at their bountiful feasting table, and to celebrate the Yuletime with the men and women of Rivenoak, as they make merry in their games, contests, dancing, and sundry amusements of the season.
This Yule Feast will be held Saturday, December 9th, in the town of Durham (just about 10 miles south of Chico), to start about 6:30 PM. This year the feast will be in the potluck style, with the Baron of Rivenoak to provide the meat for all. Each person is requested to bring a side dish enough to serve your group, plus a few others. There will also be a dessert contest: If you wish to participate, also bring a dessert, to be judged as "Most fitting to the Yule Season." Winner will obtain a prize, and awarded the title of "Confectioneer to the Coronet of Rivenoak." Please bring your banners to help decorate the hall. Candles are allowed, and the site is wet (except for those driving).
There will be contests, and prize for the table setting with the "Most Festive Yule Spirit." There is also planned a Moneyers/Minting workshop, put on by Lord Timas. After the feasting will be entertainment and gaming and dancing, as the populace is so inclined. You are encouraged to bring your song or bardic story to perform. Please bring your favorite table games to play. Fighters: We hope you'll stay around for the famous Rivenoak fighter practice on Sunday at 11am at One Mile area, Bidwell Park in Chico.
The hall will open at 6 PM for set-up and socializing. Site closes when the Baron says we've all had enough holiday spirit (let's say maybe 11 PM). Site Fee will be $12 for age-over-12 persons, $5 for age-7-11-persons (plus the non-member surcharge).
To reserve your seats, and to help us determine how much meat to prepare, we ask that you please RSVP by email to the autocrat at email@example.com, if you think you may be attending at all. All payment, by cash or check, will be made at the door.
