Channel 4's "Eye Stunt" Offends Oxfordshire Residents

A 300-ft-wide eye logo advertising Channel 4's "Big Brother" program has been
painted next to the famous Uffington Chalk Horse, enraging local residents.
Local residetns of Uffinton, Oxfordshire have "warned the incident could
trigger a local uprising" according to archaeologists. Channel 4, a British
television network, recently painted a 300-ft eye logo next to the famous
Uffington chalk horse to publicize its Big Brother television show. A spokesman
for the show promised that the logo would be hosed off the following Monday,
but residents wondered how the National Trust could have given permission for
the stunt.
