Re-Enactors Trade Spouses

The "mommy" of one of the families involved in the November 17, 2006 edition of Fox TV's Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy is medieval re-enactor and horsewoman Sue Parodi from Hayes, Virginia. Paraodi will be switching places with Vered Solomon of Thousand Oaks, California.

According to the show's website:

"The Parodis, from Hayes, Virginia are a diverse, well grounded team that are a dynamic, educated and fun-loving family who enjoy spending time together and immersing themselves in their love of history and horses. The entire family loves to host Medieval Reenactments where people from all over the state of Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina come to compete in jousting, medieval equestrian games, sword fighting, Japanese sword classes, archery and vaulting."

The California mom, a definite upscale type, said of the medieval reenactment, "Educated people don't believe in fantasies." I wonder if she would be surprised to know the demographics of the typical reenactment group.
