Missing Iraqi Artifacts Found in Museum Vaults

Archaeologists and researchers worldwide heaved a sigh of relief when cases of missing artifacts were discovered in the Museum's vault. U.S. government agents have discovered cases of artifacts reported stolen from the National Museum of Iraq in the Museum's vault. Includes are over 700 artifacts and nearly 40,000 manuscripts. Added to a case of materials recovered in southern Iraq recently, officials now say that only a few dozen artifacts are still missing. The fact that those missing are "important" pieces leads officials to speculate that the looting may have been orchestrated by organized criminal groups.
