Archaeologists are close to finishing the dig at the site, but are pleased with the find. There have been many Viking treasure finds on the Island of Gotland in the past 10 years. This one is in relatively good condition, and weighs about 7 pounds (3 kg) total.

On the Swedish Isle of Gotland, Edvin and Arvid Sandborg were helping a neighbor with his garden when they began to dig up old coins, one of them a 1,100 year-old arabic coin.
