Tir Ysgithr Members Help Each Other in Tucson

Members of the Barony of Tir Ysgithr recently hosted "Dragon's Horde," an annual event at Himmel Park in Tucson, Arizona, where they spoke about what makes the SCA special. Davida Larson of the AZ Wildcat Online had the story.

The SCA, explains member Uncle Fergie, (Curt Booth), is not just a group of hobbyists, it's a family which is always ready to help. This was demonstrated recently when members of the group pitched in to help Uncle Fergie move.

"It's a great way to make new friends," said Bryn O'Grady, whose modern name is Kassy Rodeheaver, a family studies and human development junior who is also the president of the UA's SCA chapter, known as the College of St. Felix. She said the camaraderie of the group is a reason to keep coming back.
