MU Medieval Re-enactment Society Brings Middle Ages to Central Missouri

Originally created as a liaison between the University of Missouri and the Shire of the Standing Stones in Calontir, the MU Medieval Re-enactment Society "dedicates itself to the celebration of the Renaissance and Middle Ages through research and historical re-enactments." Lindsay Toler of The Maneater reports.

“Being part of a community who can share that knowledge on how to sew or how to cook or had those same questions that I had was really appealing,” said Society president Miranda Hvinden. “It’s the community that’s important to me.”

The group holds fighter practices in Peace Park and meetings on Monday evenings in the Arts and Sciences Building.
