Royal Archive Journals Online

The Journals of the Royal Society are now available to read online. The submissions date back to 1665 and include scientific works from Halley's description of his comet to the first paper published by Stephen Hawking.

According to Prof Martin Taylor, the Royal Society's vice-president, the archive includes "the foundation of the modern scientific method. It puts you in touch with the great scientific masters in a really direct way."

The archive is available free of charge through the end of 2006.
