Burial Box of James, Brother of Jesus May Soon be Authenticated

National Geographic: A controversial ossuary discovered last fall bearing the inscription "James,
Son of Joseph, Brother of Jesus" is closer to being declared authentic,
researchers say.
When a 2000-year-old ossuary, or bone box, was found last October, the
discovery rocked the archaeology world. The authenticity of the artifact was
never in question, but linking the inscription to the Biblical Jesus was. Some
scholars still think that the words "Brother of Jesus" may have been forged,
but
others feel that the addition of them may have indicated the prominence of
Jesus in society.
