Their Majesties Christopher and Morgen of the Kingdom of AEthelmearc have announced the list of combatants and their consorts for Their upcoming Crown Tournament.

As a point of clarification, We would have all combatants be able to span the length or width, whichever is greater, of their shields. It is possible that the diagonal may be the greatest distance, but, this should be a negligible difference.

The Tournament will take place October 14 in the Barony of St. Swithin’s Bog in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania.

What does that mean?

Shield size

Not to presume to put words in HRM's mouth, but generally this terminology means that a fighter should be able to reach around the shield and touch fingers from opposite hands. The idea is to prevent use of large "war board" shields in a tournament setting.
