The programs were part of the library's Summer Reading Club program: Books: a Treasure and offered children a chance to learn about the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. One program, held July 21, 2006, let attendees ask questions of "a courtly lady, a Mongol warrior, a wealthy lady from Mongolia, a lady from Ireland, the owner of a tavern and a Viking family." The presenters answered the questions in persona. Another program featured dancing and drumming.
