His Lordship writes:
All,Some of you may know that I am a longtime director of DragonCon. At the recent staff meeting, a plea was issued for folks in costume to show up at the con, early on Friday morning Sept 1, 2006 from 7:00ma to 9:00am, to be "local color" for Fox5's Good Day Atlanta. After speaking with Sir Kytte, our Kingdom Media Represenative, she agreed that this would be an excellent way to publicize the SCA at DragonCon.
So, if you are going and are planning on being there early on Friday (Fighters, this is just like getting early up for armor inspection), please check with the Convention Operations Staff (Second floor, just down from the Consuite) as to where they are broadcasting from. Put on your best garb or armor and head on down. If I find out where beforehand, I will send it out.
But, Sir Kytte *strongly* suggests that if you are invited to speak for your group, you clear it with her *first*. It is imperative that a good tone is set for the SCA as this is being broadcast live all over the Atlanta region to potentially hundreds of thousands of viewers. She can provide you with talking points, how to say "Hi I'm in the SCA" properly, and most importantly, what *not* to say.
Thank you and see you there!

From Senior Director David Gordon:
DragonCon's plea for people:Good Day Atlanta's Brett Martin will be shooting live from Dragon Con on *Friday September 1st from 7am - 9am *. Brett, also known as Fox5's Road Warrior will be doing interviews and talking up Dragon Con throughout the 2 hour broadcast. If you've got a cool costume and you'd like all of your efforts in creating it to been seen by Good Day's huge viewing audience (in Atlanta and beyond), if you or your group will be attending Dragon Con and you have a story or look that would make for interesting TV there's even a chance that Brett will interview you live.
Fox will be spending much time going "back to Dragon Con" so it is likely that every person there will at least be seen on TV. Location is still TBD but folks will likely be asked to showing up around *6:30am or 6:45am*, you can of course come anytime within the shooting hours but the people that show up earlier will have a greater chance of quality camera time and perhaps even being interviewed on air.
