National Museum of Iraq Looted

Daily Telegraph: Baghdad's largest archaeological museum, which contained artifacts from ancient civilizations, has been looted. The looting in Baghdad may have taken a heavy toll on Iraq's largest archaeological museum, the National Museum of Iraq. About a dozen looters entered the ground floor of the museum and helped themselves, breaking pottery and decapitating statues. Many priceless treasures were carted away while museum officials watched, helpless to stop them.
