Newly-SCAdian mother seeks help locating missing daughter

Marjorie Jones, a newcomer to the SCA in Utah and mother of missing Staci Jones, seeks help from fellow SCAdians in locating her daughter, who may be headed for Texas with a stranger. This is a public service announcement; the disappearance is not connected with the SCA or its activities.

The Jones family live in Artemisia (or Utah in the modern world). Ms. Jones believes her daughter may have left the state in the company of a man she met on the Internet, and that the pair may be headed for Texas. Staci, who also goes by the names Mia, Nicole, or Stacia, disappeared on June 14.

Marjorie Jones was contacted by SCAtoday.net by phone, and provided some additional information that is not yet on the web site (linked below).

  • Staci may have been seen in a black pickup truck, with tinted glass windows and the name "Jacqueline" silkscreened or painted onto the back window.
  • In addition to the direct phone number provided on Ms. Jones' web page, individuals with information about Staci's whereabouts can contact the Carbon County, Utah, Sheriff's Department at 435-636-3253. Deputy Mike Hreinsen is handling the case; to reach his direct line, press 8 in response to the voice prompt after reaching the main office number.

Marjorie Jones is a newcomer to the SCA, and is in the process of joining the College of Arrow's Flight near Provo, Utah.

UPDATE: Staci has been found!
