War of the Roses

The Shire of Flintheath would like to invite you to help fight for the red or white in our annual War of the Roses, 23-25 June 2006. Site opens at 17:00 on Friday and closes at 17:00 on Sunday. Win points for your team in the battle of minds at the games tables, bash for points in the woods battle, parry your way to points at fencing or shoot for the points in archery. We would also like you to show off your A&S for a populous bean count for points.

Cost: £5 per person (5 & under free) with a £20 family cap. Cost to camp will be £5 a tent. For those that are not campers, there is limited crash space and a few B&Bs close by. To crash off site, please contact the Crash-O-Crat. Reservations for camping and attending can be made to Katarina. Those wishing to camp we will need your tent dimensions. Cheques must be from a sterling account and made out to Shire of Flintheath

Liberty Archers Club Site on the Junction of 1065 and Wangford Road, Brandon, Suffolk. This is a primitive camping site with an official 14 target EFAA archery course with 3D targets for our shoot. There is room for tents, open field for battles and lots of woods to play in.

This is a primitive, wet site and will be open to the public to check us out. We ask you to hide non-period items outside of the camping area. Feast will not be provided, but we will be cooking up some meat for all to share at no extra cost. For those wishing to bring their own food to cook, we have 3 BBQ pits at our disposal. There will be no ground fires allowed, except at the bardic circle. Tikis in the camping area are OK

Take your easiest route to the A1065. Coming from Brandon towards RAF Lakenheath you will take a left off the 1065 across from Wangford Road at the end of the flightline of the base. Coming from the A11 you will pass the base on your left and at the end you will take a right. Signs will be posted at the turn.

You can also check out the archery site and look at the map under how to find us at http://www.geocities.com/libertyarchers
