Digging Resumes at Manx Abbey

Excavation has begun for the summer at Rushen Abbey on the Isle of Man, where a wealth of medieval artifacts has been discovered in previous digs beginning in 1997.

Manx National Heritage is sponsoring the work. Its Curator of Archaeology, Allison Fox, said, "The excavation area will be extended this year to help us build up a picture of the relationship between the different buildings and we're hoping to find much more evidence of medieval life at the abbey."
