Camp Golden Valley is located in the Appalachian Foothills, near Rutherfordton, NC and features beautiful views, hiking trails, luscious lawns for tourneys and air-conditioned halls for relaxing. Planned Activities include:
Heavy Fighting Bear Pit Tourney and Fencing Contests with 2 prizes each, awarded for:
- accumulated points
- crowd pleasing displays of chivalry, honor, and prowess, as judged by the Populace. Newcomers are especially encouraged to voice their support and appreciation. (There will be additional opportunities for fighting throughout the afternoon.)

Archery Shoot, both a Scored Competition for SCA participants, and informal target shooting for guests.

Arts and Sciences (A&S) activities will be focused on a display of medieval items and works of art designed and constructed by members and other SCA folk. There will also be a series of informal classes and demonstrations designed to meet the specific interests of attendees. All local SCA gentles who would like to offer their experience and skill for these classes are invited to contact Lady Maeve Griffinsward (gryphon@carolina.rr.com).
