SCA Sparks Controversy at Yreka, California Event

Maggie Maguire of the Siskiyou Daily News reports on the ongoing controversy over an SCA event which will take place June 30-July 3, 2006 at Greenhorn Park.

The event, which draws between 1,000 and 1,500 participants, is scheduled to take place at a public park, a fact which makes some residents unhappy. The SCA has used the park twice before, which led to complaints about public access to the park and the use of tent stakes in an area of a sprinkler system.
