Medieval reenactors and renn faire raise funds for charity in Mississippi

Representatives from the SCA joined renaissance faire performers and other reenactment groups to perform for the public in southern Missippi, raising funds for several charitable programs.

Organized by St. John's Episcopal Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, the fair is an annual event that raises funds for the Interfaith Hospitality Network, Habitat for Humanity, and the Ocean Springs Boys and Girls Club, among others.

According to the article, "The fair was a step back in time for many seeking the days of old. Irish drinking songs and medieval melodies set the tune for courtly dances and jugglers in authentic garb."

The Mississippi Press has another article about the same festival.
