Saxon Settlement Found Under Chocolate Factory
A medieval best buckle, discovered when workers tore down an old Nestle factory
in Norwich, England, has led scientists to unearth the remains of a Saxon
settlement.
Hundreds of artifacts, including pottery, coins and a metal belt buckle, were
discovered when workers demolished an old chocolate factory. The
foundations of three buildings have been unearthed. Plans have not been made to
preserve the site, which will accomodate shops and cafes.
