Atlantian Crown Tournament

By decree of Their Most Royal Majesties, Michael and Seonaid, King and Queen of Atlantia, a Grand Tournament shall be held to determine Their Heirs. The Barony of Tir-y-Don is pleased to host such an historical occasion and invites the people of Fair Atlantia to join them in honoring a great tradition. It is Their Majesties desire to see a marvelous display of heraldry on the field for this most magnificent event. Please bring your banners and other heraldic accoutrements to brighten our surroundings.

Fighting:
The Heirs to their most August Majesties shall be determined by a grand double elimination tourney with the finals being two out of three. There will be no thrusting allowed in the tournament. Please submit your letters of intent, including pictures of your heraldry, by April 15th.

Arts & Sciences:
The highlighted time period for Tempore Atlantia is 1000-1250. Competitions include:

  • Best in Show
  • Best knitted, woven or handspun item
  • Most unusual item or documentation of an unusual item.

Additionally, there will be a competition for any(in-period) dye technique, dyestuff or fiber, documentation required. Sponsored by Lady Rebekah of Samandar

1) A&S opens at 10am Saturday
2) Entry Cutoff at 1:30pm
3) Judging begins as soon as entries are received.
4) A&S must be removed by 4:30pm Saturday

Feast:

The site opens at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 5 and closes at 12:00 pm on Sunday May 7. Acohol is permitted, though please disguise and remove your original containers. Ground fires are disallowed. Space immediately on the fighting field is limited to period pavilions and must be pre-reserved (contact information below). Competitors and Baronies will be given first priority.

RV camping can be arranged through the site. Please mention that you are with the SCA when reserving. RV campers must pay a partial daytrip fee in addition to space rental. Adult members will pay $4, adult non-members will pay $7, children 6-17 $3, Children 0-5 Free.

Feast $10 (Feast is limited to 130 people, so reserve early!)

A lunch, provided by the Boy Scouts, will be available for purchase on Saturday.
