Fools' War Draws Crowds and Press

The Kingdom of Meridies' Fools' War event drew some interest from the local media in the form of Macon (Georgia) Telegraph reporter Liz Fabian.

While the wet weather hampered traditional heavy fighting at the event, spirits were high, at least from those SCA members who spoke with the press.

"'On the way here, I encountered a tornado, hail on the ground so thick it looked like snow, a mountain on fire and a flat tire,' said Carson Reed, a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism who traveled from Nashville, Tennessee, to be with friends from all over the country."
