The show, which runs until July 16, 2006, will also include paintings dating from the late 16th and early 17th centuries borrowed from other museums. "It's a unique opportunity to see them all in one room and to see different ways the artist is treating allegorical subjects," said Xavier F. Salomon, a curatorial fellow at the Frick.
Renaissance Allegories on Display at the Frick

A pair of allegorical paintings by Renaissance artist Paolo Veronese will be the centerpiece of Veronese's Allegories: Virtue, Love and Exploration in Renaissance Venice, a small exhibit at the Frick Gallery in New York City beginning April 11, 2006.
