SCA Memberships to Resume in Hurricane-Affected Areas

Linda S. Moore, President, SCA Inc., requests that SCA members living in areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita contact the corporate office with information regarding their locations.

Linda Moore writes:

Greetings unto the membership of the SCA, Inc.

After Hurricane Katrina, the USPS notified us that they were suspending mail delivery to many of the ZIP codes affected by the storm. In response, we suspended memberships for our members in that area, until they could either relocate or return home and be able to receive mail again.

At this time, we would like to remind those members affected that they need to contact the corporate office when they are ready to resume their mailings and membership. We are accepting phone verification, as long as the address remains exactly as it appears in the database. If it has changed in any way, written or online notification is necessary.

You can make the changes at the SCA.org website

http://www.sca.org/members/registry.cgi

or by contacting the Member Services Office:

Society for Creative Anachronism
P.O. Box 360789
Milpitas,
CA 95036-0789

Telephone: (800) 789-7486 or (408) 263-9305;
Monday - Thursday 9 am-4 pm PT
FAX (408) 263-0641 (available 24 hours/day, except after 12:00pm on the last working day of the month, for the month-end close.)

Once we receive the necessary verification, we will remove the suspension, extend the membership with time remaining, and issue revised membership cards.

If you have questions, please contact the member services office.

Sincerely,

Linda S. Moore
President, SCA Inc.
