Although excited about the find, and since the original Malmesbury Abbey was built that year, and the position of the bodies in relation to the abbey's original site looks promising, archaeologists are waiting until radiocarbon dating testing to make a firm statement as to the age.

While digging the foundations for an expansion of the Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury, England, workers discovered two skeletons believed to date back to 675 A.D.
