Icelandic Skeletons Dated Before 1000 A.D.

Archaeologist Hildur Gestsdottir has dated nine skeletons which were excavated from an ancient Icelandic gravesite to before 1000 CE. The new evidence lends credence to the writings of Ari Thorgilsson the Learned, who wrote in the 12th century Book of Settlement that the earliest settlers in Iceland arrived in the 9th century.
