Scholarships Available for Icelandic Study

The Leifur EirĂ­ksson Foundation is offering scholarships to scholars from the United States interested in doing graduate-level research at universities in Iceland.

The Leifur Eiriksson Foundation, established to commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of the first Icelandic voyage to North America, is offering up to $25,000 stipends for American graduate students to study in Iceland. Any subjects are permissible, but suggested disciplines are: oceanography, climate studies, energy conversion, geology, metallurgy, materials science, literature, linguistics, anthropology, history, law, pathology.
