Jared Blaydeaux, Seneschal, Barony of Altavia in Caid, has announced that the
barony will host an "Old-Timers Tourney" featuring some of the illustrious folk
of SCA history.
On March 1, 2003, in the Barony of Altavia in the Kingdom of Caid, there is
scheduled an event that will bring together again some of the greats of SCA
history. Those who have agreed to attend the "Old-Timers Tourney" are Duke
Henrik of Havn (first King of the Known World) and his Lady Wife, Viscountess
Tamsin of the Raven Tresses,
Duchess Carol of Bellatrix, (author of Queen Carol's Guide) and Baroness Karina
of the Far West, (the second Laurel Sovereign of Arms). Others reportedly
considering attending are Duke Richard the Short (the first Duke) and Viscount
Sir Christian of Orange, (first Prince of the Principality of Caid). Master
John ap Griffin, who attended the second 12th Night, will serve as Herald.
The event hopes to capture the feel of the original SCA with dining fly pavilions and metal patio chair as thrones, and a display of old armor and costumes. For more information on the event, visit the website. |
