The people of Southron Gaard invite you to join us in celebrating the end of summer at a Grande Carnivale to be held at Canterbury Faire. No mud, no dust, no venomous fauna! Lots of comfortable bunkrooms and hot showers and real toilets. High points of this event will include dancing and a masque ball, a market and chances for men and women at arms of all types to show their skill. Not to mention plenty siege weapons, an Elizabethan theatrical extravaganza, a fabulous feast and event-long meal plan and the famous Mangy Mongol (purveyors of fine comestibles)(by Royal appointment).

The Faire will be held in Waipara, a vineyard region 1 hour north of Christchurch. The site of the event provides excellent shelter for camping and plenty of space to erect your tent or pavillion. For the convenience of those travelling from afar a limited number of bunkroom spaces are available and we are pleased to offer an optional meal plan so that you need not be burdened with supplies and cooking pots.
