Drafn War Band Helps Celebrate Viking Times in Caid

Members of the Drafn War Band participated recently in a celebration of Norwegian culture at the third annual Viking Festival at Norway Hall in Vista, California.

The re-enactors, who put on a fighter demonstration, included Marine Amber Lehning who just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. "I love to fight," she said. "It's a great hobby where you get to put on armor and hit your friends with sticks."

The Drafn War Band recreates the lifestyle of the Norse Varangian Guard.
