Trimaris Fighters Featured in Article

Interviews with members of the Shire of Vaca del Mar were featured recently in an article in the Orlando Sentinel. The group was holding fighter practice at Tuscawilla Park when reporter Erin Ailworth and a staff photographer visited.

"SCA [the society] runs on duct tape," joked Shirley "Lady Ardith De Waldeslade" Pierce, 64, who was attending weapons practice at Tuscawilla Park. Pierce pointed out rattan swords padded with the adhesive, which was also being used to patch worn armor.

"If they had it, they would have used it," added Michael "Shido Stripe" Kamholtz, 53.

The Shire of Vaca del Mar which means "sea cow" or manatee in Spanish, is located in Volusia and Flagler Counties, Florida in the Kingdom of Trimaris.
