Dance and Drum Competition to be Held at Estrella

A Middle Eastern Dance and Drum Compeition will be held February 14, 2003 at the Estrella War. Romantics at Estrella will be able to celebrate Valentine's Day with the sound of drums and the sway of hips at the Middle Eastern Dance and Drum Competition which will take place at 8:00 pm.

Competitors may enter either Amateur (three years or less experience) or Advanced categories. Dancers will be judged on style, technical prowess, and artistry. The drummers' rules are more complicated, requiring the performance of particular rhythms and being able to hold the beat against a "drunken drummer" who tries to upset the rhythm.
