Michaelmas Event

As the summer season winds down into fall, The gates of winter are set to open. As they do, we gather in the great hall and celebrate the harvest and warm ourselves with the heat of friendship. Join us as we feast in Norse style with Scandinavian recipes and Viking skills. Let us play in the weather, snow or not, and enjoy what the season gives us.

Besides feasting, some activities will include a heavy prize tourney, a rapier tourney and a class on Viking embroidery. Children's activities will be Norse shield painting and clay rune and game piece making. Many games will be available, and playing is encouraged.

Competitions for this event are: A&S competition for Viking garb, Baroness's whim on Viking embroidery and Baron's whim for woodworking of any item. Documentation gets extra points, but is not required. The best part of the competition is simply to enter and show off your skills, beginner or expert.

Feast will be Scandinavian dishes, and a menu will be posted closer to the event. There is no separate cost for the feast, but please RSVP as soon as possible.
