Calontir Soup Kitchen Cures Pennsic Munchies

Baroness BelAnna de Rouge, Soup Kitchen Coordinator for Pennsic 34, reports on the activities of the Kingdom of Calontir's fabled soup kitchen at this year's War.

Her Excellency writes:

Greetings from the Soup Kitchen,

We had a great time at Pennsic War.

  • We made 8 ½ pots of soup
  • Sandwiches from 25 loafs of bread
  • We had 16 boxes of Little Debbie Cakes
  • 10 bags of jerky
  • 7 Jars of Jelly
  • 7 Jars of Peanut Butter
  • Cookies homemade and store bought
  • 16 jars of Pickles
  • 15 pounds of Apple Chips
  • Gallons of Seconjamon
  • Peanut brittle
  • Chocolate covered Peanut brittle
  • Scotshed Eggs
  • Fighter Bisket

I know I'm forgetting something great we had to eat but my mind is a blur with all the things we receieved.

On an average we had 8 workers in the Soup Kitchen and many more to help pass out food to a tired army.

I would like to take the time to thank the following:

  • Margret of Westermark
  • Charles of Westermark
  • Amira bint Michael of Safita
  • Neathery of Safita
  • Aldyet Le Chaunderlier
  • Teva
  • Gertrude Exrleben
  • Alruth Exrleben
  • Alasdair MacLeod
  • Michael the Ram
  • Countess Yasmin
  • Marcella the Unknown
  • Abby of Darkdale

And all the others whose names I have missed. The Soup Kitchen would not run without you! My Thanks to you all! And we all would like to thank the Barony of Vatvia for being our sponsor this war and providing us with Soup and Noodles and all manner of goodies! A special thanks goes to Roslyn of Aberdeen for all the wonderful things she sent to us at war! They where especially tasty and to Baron Jon for transporting all manner of tasties for us. To the Ladies who made the Jerky you where a special hit! Cailin for the dried apple chips and the Jelly. Daphne for the chocolate peanut brittle and the watermelon. Kat for her home made cookies. And a special YOU ROCK goes to Lady Gertrude for getting up at 6am to make scotshed eggs to feed the army 2 days in a row! My Thanks to you all!
