"13th Century" Castle Under Construction in France

A group of 35 individuals, led by museum curator Michel Guyot and dressed in medieval garb, are attempting to construct a 13th century castle in a quarry in La Puisaye, France using medieval techniques and materials.

The Guedelon Project began in 1997 and is expected to continue for at least 20 years. The site has now become a tourist attraction, drawing medievalists and the curious to the small town in Burgundy.
