Archaeologists working in Llancynfelyn, near Borth, Wales, have discovered a Roman "industrial estate" which includes a lead smelting operation.
The experts first dated the site to the 10th or 11th century, but later discovered the Roman remains beneath the medieval track. The smelting site has now been covered over. |
