AEthelmearc Fall Coronation

Come one and all! Let us join together in saluting Their Majesties Malcolm & Tessa, as Their time on AEthelmearc's throne comes to a close. Do not be sad, for it is also a time to celebrate the continuation of our glorious Kingdom with the promise of a new reign under Their Royal Heirs Robin & Isabeau!

Tournaments will abound as fencing and fighting combatants take to their respective fields. The day will play host to the Queen's Rapier Championship, which, in the highly unlikely event of foul weather, can be accommodated indoors. The gathering will also be entertained by troubadours from near and far. They will appropriately "duke it out" with verse for our listening pleasure as the Kingdom Bardic Champions Competition is held during the course of the day. The finalists will be performing during what promises to be a delectable feast. As if this was not enough, there will also be aKingdom ScribalBack-log competition for the viewing pleasure of all who attend. The festivities commence at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 24 when all will be welcomed to enjoy the generous hospitality of the Barony of Thescorre and the noble firefighters of Bergen, NY 14416. The fire hall is large and well-suited for recreating the faithful look & feel of a banquet in the Middle Ages. The site is "discreetly damp", handicap accessible, and allows the use of enclosed flames. The festivities come to an end at 10 p.m.

Bring your banners, bring your favorite centerpieces, bring your best garb, and bring your biggest smiles. It will take little effort for such pageantry to transport all in attendance to a more romantic, bygone time! The evening's Greek repast will be prepared by none other than Dame Katja, Don Grendel, and the Cauldron Bleu Cooks Guild. Capacity will be limited to 120. The sideboard lunch will be included for all in the site fee. Dietary concerns may be addressed to fallcoronation2005@yahoo.com

There will be ample space for offboard dining so that everyone may enjoy the unique atmosphere generated by such abundant merriment and good companionship! Site fees are $8 to attend for the day ($4 for children 6 to 17) with feast being an additional $8 ($4 for those aged 6 to13). No charge for children 5 or younger. The $3 non-member surcharge will be collected at the door, please be prepared to show your proof of membership upon arrival.
