Known World Children's Fete at Pennsic

Duchess Isabel Grimault of the Kingdom of Atlantia, Coordinator for the Known World Children's Fete at Pennsic, has announced the particulars for this year's Fete.

Her Grace writes:

My name is Duchess Isabel Grimault from the kingdom of Atlantia. I am coordinating the Known World Children's Fete this year at Pennsic. In the past years Duchess Arielle the Golden has been the coordinator and has bestowed this honor upon me. This has been a highly successful event but not so without the help of others.

The Fete is scheduled for August 17th, from 1pm to 4pm. Some of the activities we have had in the past include mask making, foam sword play, face painting, finger loop braiding, banner making, hunkerhausen, period board games, palio races, illumination, period dancing, nerf archery and needlepoint, just to name a few. We have also had jugglers, puppet shows and story tellers to entertain the children. General volunteers help in such areas as signing in children, manning activities that need additional people and ensuring that other volunteers are staying adequately watered, etc. We also need help setting up for the party and breaking down.

In the past, we have had gentles come in groups from other kingdoms to participate. Opening up the event to all kingdoms to volunteer has always been one of the goals of the Fete. If your kingdom has gentles that would like to volunteer we would greatly appreciate it. If you volunteer, you are not required to stay for the duration of the Fete. Whatever time donated is valued.

Best regards,

Duchess Isabel Grimault
