The festival, in its fifth year, is growing rapidly. It takes place in and around Chester's Roman fort and includes Roman cookery shows and a chance to join the Roman army.

A Roman Roodee, which includes chariot races and gladiator fights, has become a popular feature of Chester, England's Roman Festival. The event takes place June 25-26, 2005.
