English DNA May Solve American Mystery

Is a skeleton found at colonial Jamestown, Virginia that of the colony's founder Capt. Bartholomew Gosnold? Scientists hope to solve the mystery by studying English DNA.

Researchers know that Gosnold was an organizer and led the expedition that founded the town, and they now hope to verify the remains by exhuming the bodies of his sister and niece from an English churchyard in order to study their DNA.
