15th Century Artifacts Discovered in Prague

A large number of silver coins and a ceramic goblet were discovered by archaeologists working in central Prague recently. The rare find was unearthed under the floor of a Gothic house between Stepanska and Skolska Streets.

The discovery was easily dated due the the unique nature of the coins, marked with the Czech lion, which were minted in Kutna Hora. The courtyard where the items were found dates back to the 13th century.
