Defender's Tourney

Courtly Love has inspired great deeds of chivalry and valor both on and off the field. The Shire of Sylvan Glen invites all to come and continue that tradition at our annual Defender's Tourney. The theme for the tourney is "Courtly Love and the deeds it inspires." Come and show your unwavering devotion to your Lord or Lady through feats of martial, artistic and courtly grace.

Favors and tokens have been a part of the tourney since its beginning In that tradition all fighters entering the list must bear the favor one who inspires them. Once again we ask fighters to bring a small shield to display upon our list tree, that your progress in the tourney might show all your devotion to your love. A Pas de Arms for heavy fighters will follow the tourney where champions and those they champion may issue and receive challenges for loves sake with choice of weapons and a barrier for added fun. Fencers will find a tourney to challenge the keenness of both wit and blade and by back popular demand the "Pearls and Rouges Tourney"
