Online Gamer Gets Death for Killing Fellow Player Over Virtual Quarrel

In Shanghai, China, a gamer who killed another player because the latter sold the former's virtual sword has reportedly been sentenced to death for the murder.

Angered over the unauthorized sale of his "Dragon Saber" sword, a virtual prop in an online game, the gamer visited the seller at his home and repeatedly stabbed him in the chest.

The death sentence, according to a published report, is suspended for two years, and upon good behavior of the prisoner, could be commuted to 15 years in prison.
