SCAtoday.net Goes Live for Pennsic XXXI

SCAtoday.net is a newswire and portal for members of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a living history group dedicated to the study of the Middle Ages. The site is not fully completed yet, but we wanted to bring it online in time for Pennsic. Today we have only the newswire, but in a few weeks there will be an extensive link directory, discussion forums, an event calendar, and many other features.

SCAtoday.net does not intend to compete with other news sources such as Medieval Times, Known World Independent, and Known World Web. It is not our mission to create detailed feature-length articles, but rather to locate interesting items around the Internet and index them for you. We welcome partnerships with other news sites. You provide us the link to your new article, and optionally a short abstract, and we will link to your content at the URL of your choice. We aim to bring you more hits by making your new content more visible, not to compete for the visitors who now patronize your site.

There will soon be a feature to allow other web sites to syndiate SCAtoday's headlines, allowing you to have a miniature newswire on virtually any web site. This feature will be available free of charge.

New features will be announced on the newswire as they are added. We hope you will visit us often, and tell your friends!
