Insula Draconis Viceroy Tourney IV

The Incipient Shire of Mynydd Gwyn is proud to host the fourth Viceroy Tourney for the Crown Principality of Insulae Draconis.

Site: the Social Centre, Bishop Road, Shurdington, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Site is open from 18.00 on Friday to 14.00 on Sunday. The tourney will take place on Saturday on the Village Green in front of the site. The site is wet, the Village Green is dry. The site itself has secure parking, disabled access and disabled toilets. Pets are not allowed in the halls. There is substantial crash space but please advise early if you require it. A list of nearby B&B will be listed on the shire web pages www.mynydd-gwyn.org shortly. Lord Svein Aelfricsson will be our feast cook, please advise us of any specific dietary requirements when booking.

Cost: event fee £17.00 per person booked (out of UK) or paid (UK residents) by 10th March, or £19.50 after that date. Cheques should be made payable to SCA - Shire of Mynyyd Gwyn

Directions: From the M5: Take junction 11a onto the A417 going East. Turn left on the A46 at the next roundabout, approx 1 mile, going North to Shurdington. Turn left approx 1.5 miles later on to Church Lane, the turn off for the Social Centre is signposted but the sign is small. Look for SCA signs at this point. Take the second left turn, in front of the Green, opposite the turn to the church. Turn left into the Centre car park. From other roads, check the roadmap for the A46 from Cheltenham. The turn to the Social centre is just inside the village from this direction. Shurdington can ONLY be reached from the A46! The nearest train station is Cheltenham. We can organise transfer to site by prior arrangement. Please let us know day and time of arrival a week in advance if possible. The easiest coach stop is Cheltenham Royal Well station, which is served by National Express coaches. We can organise transfer to site by prior arrangement.
